About Us

LFM is a teenage radio station run by students all under the age of 18. LFM has over 2000 listeners each day on our FM Frequencies (88.4FM). LFM broadcasts to Whitianga, Coroglen, Cooks Beach, parts of Tairua, Hot Water Beach, Hahei and all them outlying places (in New Zealand! A country beside Australia for all the foreigners out there that have never heard of New Zealand before). LFM is totally run by teenagers of the local community and is on a special LPFM License. . LFM plays Today's Top 40 Music 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week. LFM is a non-profit station - meaning nobody makes money from the station and all DJs & Managers are volunteers. LFM is the only Top 40 Mainstream Station in the area catering for the younger audience (10-35 years) in the region.
