ABOUT US
Heres a bit of a history lesson for you, where did LFM come from, how was it made, where is it?
LFM was formed in 2004 by founder Ethan Lessiter. He started at the age of 12 messing around with sound equipment. As growing up his dream of LFM came into a reality by purchasing tranmission gear, going live to air and creating LFM into the brand it is today.
The old days of the live to air radio shows have passed as all the students that ran these shows have departed around the world studying radio, and differn't things. So no longer does "The LFM NIght Show" and "Musos On Air" go live to air on weeknights. Instead we just play 24hours of Music every single day with very little advert interuptions.
88.4 LFM broadcasts to Whitianga and Surrounding areas in the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula, North Island, New Zealand. LFM peaks at 900 listeners each day. LFM is the ONLY radio station catering for under 45's in the Whitianga region. The only radio station with 2 hours of music advert free from 9am!.
Have a listen to LFM today - you'll love it. Its all your favourite top hits plus the newest of the newest songs. Also LFM plays over 30% NZ Music =).
Listen in Daily at 11am, 4pm & 9pm when Rhys Tau brings you the latest in NZ Music tracks.

New messages from them to you all you old loyal listeners:
Hey!!! How I miss every Tuesday / Friday nights on the radio talking / doing what ever we did. It was always fun, so many laughs and soo many memories. I remember that last show as I said the last words "Thankyou.... good luck & goodnight". After we left air that night the studio went quiet for about 3minutes as it hit us. 400 radio shows and this was the last time ever. We then celebrated :p... should I say what happened that night?.. I am now in Auckland working for many radio stations and studying Sound Engineering. I thank you all for listening to LFM grow over the years. I'm sorry we can no longer bring you the raido shows but LFM is still rocking hard with music as normal :).
Good luck with life! You may here us all back together in a few years on a radio near you ;-)

hello to all our LFM listeners. It’s been a long time since the final of the Night Show. I miss it so much! Hopefully one day we will be back, reunite and carry on from where we left off. I’m about to enter tertiary study next year in radio broadcasting thanks to LFM who has helped me so much to make this a realistic goal.
Thanks LFM and Thank you Ethan Lessiter!!!
